Yes, with most hosts this is possible. We know that
in some cases of sites that are hosted on free server
space, only subscribers to the host have ftp access. We
can give you specific information if this case applies,

No design changes are needed when adding an online store
to an already existing site, though it might be necessary
to make a few minor changes to assure easy navigation and

This depends on the technical options of your host.
If your free server space does not allow for an online store,
we can offer a seamless integration with your existing site

It requires knowledge and experience plus the right software
to maintain and update static or html pages. An alternative
would be to purchase a web interface application like "Macromedia
Contribute" or "Big
Moxie"

Administration, maintenance and updating of the online
store is done through a control panel using your browser.
Upon request CDT will give you access to a testsite,
where you can practice how to add products to your site.
Each site also includes a detailed help manual with screen
captures linked from the admin. panel.
Additional help and information is also available in our
support forum, to which each customer has access.
Is it possible to upload
photos to my site?
For a conventional site (static / html) you need to
have experience and the necessary software - it comes less
expensive if you request this from your Webkeeper.
The online stores come by default with an integrated image
uploader that allows uploading images to the product pages
(thumbnail size) and the product details pages (regular
size) by simply pointing to the image on your hard drive
and attaching it. The process is as simple as adding an
image to an email.
A "Deluxe" image uploader that resizes all large
images to a preset thumbnail size can be installed as a
special mod.
Can you also provide all
graphic designs for our site, stationary, business cards
and advertisements?
While most graphics come with your site, we also have
the option to involve graphic designers, who can do any
custom work in excess of the graphics that come with your
site.
Do you accept only business
from the USA?
No, CDT caters to the international market. We
not only accept business from most countries but also can
set up sites - including ecommerce and ecommerce admin.

Will it cost extra to have a website
or online store in a different language than English?
There will be no extra charges if the site owner provides
all text and also takes care of proof reading. If the
job needs to be outsourced, we will quote accordingly.
Do I own the licence
for the online store and can I have more than one site
set up under the same licence.
You own the licence for your online store and are free
to set it up with any host of your choice.
You may use the basic script for the online store (licence)
for more than one store - as long as you owe the domains
for those additonal stores.
Setup, design, layout, hosting and maintenance will be
charged individually for each online store.
How long does it take
to build an online store?
It is difficult to predict how long it takes each client
to populate their online store with products.
CDT can have a working admin. platform and front-end
ready within 30 days after receiving the contract.
During this time the client should become familiar with
the back-end of the cart by using the testcart, reading
the helpfile and making a list of items to be shown in
the store, prepare descriptions and images. This will
save a lot of time when it comes to populating the store,
once the client has been given access to the admin. panel.
Do you have technical
support for online stores?
Yes, you will receive detailed online training. In
addition to that there is a user manual linked from the
admin panel and we have a support forum for our clients.
How many products can
I sell in my online store?
The script has been stress tested for one million items.
Our servers have ample bandwith and allow that many customers
use the cart at the same time.
While CDT can guarantee for above amount of items
in the online store, it is not possible for us to guarantee
that other hosts might have an equally ample bandwith
without checking specifications first.
